How Tracker-Aligned Cleaning Robots Maximize Energy Yield in Single-Axis Tracker Plants

The Shift to Trackers in Large-Scale Solar

Single-axis tracking systems increase solar generation by following the sun's path throughout the day. However, they also complicate O&M cleaning. Standard heavy machinery cannot drive over moving tracker beams.

Competitor data on tracker integration (such as Ecoppia T4 and Soltec alignments) shows that lightweight crawler robots are the optimal solution. These robots sit on the tracker rows, adjusting their operation to the exact tilt angle of the panels.

Automatic Angle Synchronization

During cleaning cycles, the robots communicate with the tracker's central SCADA system to trigger a temporary tilt alignment, enabling the crawler to pass smoothly without slipping. This synchronization allows cleaning to take place at night or during low-generation hours, maximizing active production time.
